Theatrical director and actor. Manages Tokyo’s Canaria Theatre. Professor of Theatrical Arts at Osaka University of Arts Graduate School. Has appeared as an actor in, and assisted in the production of, a number of works under Bandō Tamasaburō, including the Izumi Kyōka dramas “Shirasagi”, “Yasha-ga-ike/Demon Pond” and “Tenshu Monogatari/The Castle Tower”; Euripides’ “Medea”; Mishima Yukio’s “Kuro-tokage/The Black Lizard”.
